Germany-based Crane Maier has taken delivery of a Liebherr LTM 1070-4.2 mobile crane to replace one of its older 60-tonne capacity cranes.
The four-axle LTM 1070-4.2 offers 70 tonnes of lifting capacity and a 50 m-long telescopic boom.
Susanne Maier, managing director of Crane Maier, said that the LTM 1070-4.2 is “at the cutting edge of crane technology”.
“For example, it already complies with the new Stage V exhaust emission directive and the currently attached counterweight is automatically detected. We also ordered the VarioBase variable outrigger base and the radio remote control,” she added.
Crane Maier utilised the crane shortly after delivery. It was deployed for the erection of high voltage pylons between Eching and Viecht in Germany.
The crane will also be set to work assembling precast concrete parts, lighter garages, and for steel construction work.
