USA-based crane rental service provider Bigge Crane and Rigging has acquired two Liebherr crawler cranes at the 2022 bauma trade fair held in Munich, Germany.
USA-based crane rental service provider Bigge Crane and Rigging has acquired two Liebherr crawler cranes at the 2022 bauma trade fair held in Munich, Germany.
The company purchased an LR 1400 SX with a lifting capacity of 400 tonnes, equipped with four drive motors to improve manoeuvrability on difficult terrain; and an LR 1700-1.0 with a lifting capacity of 700 tonnes and a boom extension of up to 196 m.
To reduce wear, particularly on wind farms, Liebherr engineers strengthened the steelwork for the crawlers and increased the size of the rollers. The cranes will also be deployed onto construction sites.
The two purchases add to Bigge’s portfolio of over 100 Liebherr cranes.
Bigge has also ordered two LTM 1230-5.1 s and two LR 1500s, expected to be delivered in 2023.
