USA-based transport engineering specialist Berard has further strengthened heavy transport capabilities with the recent delivery of 12 additional axle lines of Scheuerle SPMTs
Berard now has 200 Scheuerle SPMTs in its fleet. “I remain committed as the beneficial owner to prioritise investments in future growth and expanding our SPMT fleet, solidifying our stance as industry leaders in mega transport,” said Braedon Berard.
The company’s axles have been put to good use in 2024. Berard was tasked with transporting the 116 ft (35.6 m) high topside from the fabrication site in Ingleside, Texas onto a deck barge. It used 116 axles lines of SPMTS plus eight power pack units to complete the work, and a series of ramps were used to reach the proper elevation to roll onto the barge. The topside tipped the scales at 2,480 tons (2,249.8 tonnes).
