Mike Hynekamp, previously coo logistics, took up the role in August and came to the position with 17 years working at the company.

“Our journey is not solely about operating ships or solving logistics challenges; it is about shaping a future where resilience, collaboration, and growth intertwine to build a digital and sustainable company for generations to come,” says Hynekamp.

John Felitto, former senior vice president of WWL Vehicle Services Americas, took over Hynekamp’s role as coo logistic services. Felitto started his career with Wallenius Wilhelmsen in July 2001 as vice president-sales and has held various key commercial and executive management roles in sales, ocean and logistics.

Felitto was instrumental in the company’s transition from ocean carrier to full-service logistics provider, and he is currently responsible for all aspects of Vehicle Services America’s processing and logistics operations in the USA, Mexico and Canada.

Earlier in August, Erik Ahrén was appointed as the cfo for Wallenius Sol, a joint venture between Wallenius Lines and Svenska Orient Linien (SOL)

Ahrén served in the same role at the Gothenburg Port Authority since 2019 and has experience in leading roles within finance and economics at various positions including BIC Nordic, Witre Manutan and Trelleborg Industrial Products.

These appointments come as Wallenius Wilhelmsen reports a record second quarter for 2024 with EBITDA of USD 507 million and a net profit of USD 315 million.
