August 11 - Volga-Dnepr Group has appointed Anton Khodakovsky as vice president for Japan and South Korea.
Khodakovsky joined Volga-Dnepr Group in 2004, and has held various roles at AirBridgeCargo Airlines, including commercial director and regional director for Russia and CIS.
In his new position Khodakovsky will be responsible for developing the company's 'cargo supermarket' strategy - which combines the most suitable and cost-efficient aircraft and logistics solutions for each delivery using either Volga-Dnepr's air charter or scheduled cargo services - in Japan and South Korea, as well as for the group's overall interests in the region.
Volga-Dnepr Group also celebrates the 80th birthday of the chief designer of the AN-124 and AN-225 transport aircraft, Victor Tolmachev.
Tolmachev continues to serve the industry as technical director of Volga-Dnepr, and as an advisor to the group's president, Alexey Isaikin.
