November 17 - DHL, has appointed Hans Toggweiler as chief executive officer Industrial Projects at DHL Global Forwarding, Freight.
In his new position Toggweiler (pictured below) will be responsible for the development, growth and profitability ofDHL's industrial projects for customers in the energy, mining, power generation and construction industries.
"Hans Toggweiler has been extremely influential in the successful development of DHL Global Forwarding in the Americas region and I would like to express our gratitude for his leadership and outstanding performance as CEO, Americas," said Roger Crook, CEO Global Forwarding, Freight.
"We will utilise Hans' expertise to help to further grow our Industrial Projects business globally."
A 40-year veteran of the transportation logistics industry, Toggweiler joined the Group in 1998 and has worked in several senior leadership roles including his most recent position as CEO for DHL Global Forwarding, Americas.
He was responsible for the management of the business in the USA, Canada, Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean and South America.
In his new role, Hans will continue to serve on the DHL Global Forwarding, Freight Management Board and report to Crook.
Mathieu Floreani, who previously held the post of CEO Express Canada has taken over as the head of DHL Global Forwarding Americas. He will also serve on the Global Forwarding, Freight Management Board and report directly to Crook. Within his new post Floreani will be responsible to drive further growth and development in the Americas region.
Floreani joined DHL in November 2004, holding the position of marketing and sales director at DHL Express. In April 2006 he joined the DHL Express France Management Board as VP marketing and sales and assumed responsibility for the customer service centres and the business support and development functions.
