June 10 - The Sarens Group, one of the world's leading multifunction heavy lift and transport companies, remains tight-lipped over recent reports in the Belgian media which suggest that it could be a potential target for investment groups.
A report this week in De Standaard suggest that HAL Investments is interested in a stake in the Belgian family-owned company.
Sarens, a global player in the rental of cranes, handling and transportation of heavy loads, as well as installation engineering, declined to comment on the press articles.
HAL Investments already has stakes in heavy lift shipping company, Dockwise; as well as marine engineering group, Boskalis Westminster. Its website makes no secret of its desires and states: "HAL Investments B.V. is actively seeking investments opportunities in Europe, emphasising acquisitions and significant stakes in companies in a wide variety of industries."
