In a bid to capitalise on the country’s emerging wind energy industry, Sarens has established a new company in Taiwan.

Sarens said the newly formed entity is well positioned to take advantage of the Taiwanese government’s positive offshore energy policies. Taiwan is expected to award a total of 10.5 GW in grid capacity for offshore wind contracts, and is already on track to add 4.06 GW of offshore wind power by 2025, said Sarens.

The Belgium-headquartered company intends to maintain a fleet of SPMTs in Taiwan, as well as SGC-120, SGC-90, and CC-8800 heavy-duty cranes. It will also provide onshore logistics for offshore projects.
