February 1 - Despite persistently challenging market conditions, the Rickmers Group has reconfirmed its positive forecast for the 2015 financial year with regards to revenues and EBITDA.
Having now closed the financial year, the company's reconfirmed positive forecast is in line with the outlook that Rickmers communicated in its 2015 half-year report.
Rickmers Group said that against the background of the positive effects of the USD-EUR exchange rate and in particular the sustainable turnaround of Rickmers-Linie, it expects to see a single-digit percentage improvement in revenues, a double-digit increase in EBITDA, and a corresponding improvement in cash flow from operating activities.
Adjusted for negative effects related to "extraordinary impairments on shipping assets", the net profit of Rickmers Group for the 2015 financial year is expected to be at the previous year's level, said the shipping line.
The company's annual audit is scheduled to be carried out by PricewaterhouseCoopers on February 29, with publication of the annual figures expected on March 14, 2016.
The "sustainable turnaround" of Rickmers-Linie contributed to the company's positive forecast.
