June 12 - RedR Australia will run its Humanitarian Logistics in Emergencies training course from September 1-6, 2013 at Melbourne University Campus, Victoria, Australia.
The course focuses on the importance of logistics in the provision of aid to disaster survivors, and other related crisis management operations.
Experts in humanitarian and commercial logistics, including the United Nations World Food Programme and DHL Australia, support the course.
The course is designed for people from a non-logistics background. However, experienced logisticians will benefit from the broader application of logistics practices to conflict and refugee situations.
Course fees and accommodation is AUD1,930 (USD1,839) for individuals/governments; AUD1,600 (USD1,524) for NGOs/not-for-profit organisations; and AUD1,285 (USD1,224) for RedR Australia Standby Register personnel.
