September 9 - Poland's leading rail freight operator, PKP Cargo, is in advanced talks regarding the acquisition of CTL Logistics and Advanced World Transport.
PKP Cargo has signed a letter of intent to purchase 100 percent of the shares in Warsaw headquartered CTL Logistics - owner and operator of approximately 200 locomotives and 4,800 wagons.
PKP also inked an MoU with Czech Republic headquartered rail company Advanced World Transport, which specialises in the movement of heavy loads such as coils, steel and vehicle parts.
Its fleet of 160 locomotives and 5,100 wagons runs in its home country, as well as Slovakia, Slovenia, Hungary, Poland, Germany, Romania, Bulgaria and Croatia.
