September 7 - Olli Pohjanvirta, who recently stepped down as president and ceo of Nurminen Logistics, has been elected as chairman of the Finnish company's board of directors.
HLPFI reported on June 23 that Nurminen's senior vice president of forwarding and value, Marko Tuunainen, was replacing Pohjanvirta as president and ceo of the company.
Former chairman of the Nurminen board of directors, Tero Kivisaari, will remain a member of the board.
Meanwhile, Markku Puolanne has been appointed the company's new chief financial office (cfo); Michael Karjagin was named vice president of Nurminen's forwarding business unit; Risto Holopainen was promoted to vice president of the terminal and value added services business unit; and Maija Dietrich was appointed vice president of Nurminen's railway logistics division.
These new appointments will increase Nurminen's management team from three members to six.
