January 8 - NSL has tasked its new managing director, Duncan Bonner, with worldwide growth and development of the Aberdeen-based specialist safety and lifting training company.
Bonner joins from Maersk Training Ltd and is looking to utilise the network of operations available through NSL's parent company, international oilfield support services company ASCO Group, to bring the subsidiary's expertise to the global energy markets.
With 25 years of operational and HSE experience in the global energy market, Bonner already has a track record of successful growth of small and medium size companies.
Bonner also has experience of successful start-up operations, having opened training centres in both the UK and Middle East. This work involved gaining accreditation of training centres and courses to National and International standards, including OPITO, the oil and gas industry's focal point for skills, learning and workforce development.
Andrew Macdonald, ASCO CEO Europe commented; "Duncan's appointment completes our work to strengthen the senior management of NSL as we position the business for dynamic growth."
