The organiser of the inaugural Project Cargo Summit has rescheduled the conference to September 12-13, 2018.
HLPFI readers will recall that the event was originally scheduled to take place in Rotterdam during April, one month before the well-established Breakbulk Europe conference and exhibition, which will take place in Bremen during May.
According to the event's organiser, NT Publishers, a new date for the event has been set to allow more time to develop and refine the programme.
"The dates originally planned proved too soon for a number of the proposed speakers. For that reason, Project Cargo Summit has been moved to September. This gives the organisation the opportunity to further elevate the programme to the desired top level," said a statement on the Project Cargo Summit website.
The event will still be held at Rotterdam's Onderzeebootloods, a former submarine wharf at the port, and will feature a two-day conference, with industry speakers, researchers and administrators, as well as a trade fair on both days.
In addition to workshops for its visitors, the Project Cargo Summit will also hold a networking dinner on September 12.
