January 16 - Canaveral Port Authority has hired two veteran port executives - Alberto Cabrera and George Arocha - to help expand cargo business development and terminal operations at Port Canaveral.
Cabrera, former director and general manager of trade development and marketing for JAXPORT, joins Canaveral as the senior director of cargo business development. He will oversee cargo marketing strategies to develop container, ro-ro, bulk and breakbulk operations.
Arocha has been appointed director and general manager of cargo and terminal operations, and will be responsible for providing customer service to existing clients, managing projects and overseeing operations at Canaveral's new container terminal facilities.
Assistant director of cargo business development, Shannon Feeley, will continue to create contacts and identify growth opportunities for the port, in addition to partnering with Cabrera to create and execute Canaveral's cargo business development strategy.
