March 5 - The Port of Everett's executive director, John Mohr, has announced that he plans to retire from the position in January 2015.
Mohr reports directly to the elected, three-member Port Commission and is tasked with implementing their policy direction, overseeing a staff of more than 100 full-time employees and executing the port's USD64 million operating and capital budget.
During his time at the Port, Mohr has led the strategic seaport through a major resurgence in its shipping business, moving from a declining wood products port to a key aerospace and breakbulk port.
The Port of Everett has hired Jensen and Cooper to conduct a search for the next executive director.
