Militzer & Münch Taiwan will be led by Igor Zarenko, a German national with more than 25 years of logistics experience in Asia. The country unit adds to the company’s presence in China, Malaysia, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Indonesia, Mongolia, and India.

“With its stable economy and favourable location in the Western Pacific, Taiwan is a logical addition to our activities in the region and an important element in the overall picture of our growth strategy in Asia,” said Andreas Löwenstein, Militzer & Münch regional managing director Asia / Far East.

Economic growth of more than three percent has been forecast for 2025 by the Taiwan Institute of Economic Research, largely due to future technologies from the electronics and semiconductor industries – the latter of which the country produces more than half of when it comes to global figures. Taiwan is also expected to become a hub for AI, with the demand for chips and servers comparatively high.

In January 2025, Militzer & Münch launched a country unit in Belgium.
