May 26 - Maxim Crane Works has acquired Orlando, Florida based heavy haulage, specialised rigging and crane services provider, Crane Rental Corporation.
Maxim ceo Bryan Carlisle said that the Crane Rental acquisition is a strategic move designed to expand Maxim's footprint in the southeast of the USA and facilitate continued growth in the region.
"Acquiring a high-quality crane rental outfit like Crane Rental Corporation will help accelerate our expansion in the southeastern United States, strengthen our team and add new equipment to our fleet," said Carlisle.
Crane Rental operates out of three locations in Florida and one in Alabama. The company's fleet includes crawler cranes, rough terrain cranes, all terrain cranes, fleet platform trailers, dual lane trailers, hydraulic gantries, tower cranes and truck-operated crane equipment.
This marks the second acquisition Maxim has completed in the past month, with the company purchasing the assets of Poindexter Transport & Crane Service early in May.
Carlisle said that the integrations with Poindexter and Crane Rental should be seamless given Maxim's track record of growth through acquisition.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
