Mammoet has been awarded a contract to provide heavy lifting and transport solutions for the Dangote Oil Refinery in Lagos, Nigeria.
The multi-billion-dollar refinery is being built by the Dangote Group of Companies, and promises to be the largest of its kind in Africa, with a capacity of 650,000 barrels per day. The refinery is scheduled to come onstream in 2019, increasing the country's oil exports, and reducing its reliance on imports of petroleum products.
Mammoet - the Netherlands-based engineered heavy lifting and transport specialist - will be transporting, lifting, and installing all over-dimensional components for Dangote.
