October 25 - Logwin's newly appointed country director, Jan Warnecke has assumed responsibilities for air and sea freight activities.
The 34-year-old forwarding specialist and transport administration graduate has put together his team, following his relocation from Dubai, where he was route development manager, having previously worked at Logwin locations in Hamburg and Sydney.
In Switzerland, Jan (pictured below) will have resposibility for Logwin's two offices in Basel and Zurich, overseeing the work of 20 employees.
"With Jan Warnecke we succeeded in gaining a competent specialist for the further development of our sea and air freight business in Switzerland," says Helmut Kaspers, COO of the business segment Air + Ocean at Logwin. "His international experience at various Logwin locations is of particular use here."
Logwin says that Warnecke is a specialist in the areas of air and sea freight transportation between Switzerland and Asia.
"We also see promising market potential in trade with the Far East in the future," says Warnecke. "That is why we are continuing to further develop our competence as Asia specialists."
The logistics service provider has been operating on the Swiss market since 1977.
