August 2 - Liebherr Maritime will expand its business in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands by establishing full service, spares and sales activities in the region.
According to Liebherr, this will lead to better support for its maritime customers using factory-trained, locally recruited engineers. It will also assist with the introduction of new Liebherr products in the region.
With effect from September 1, 2017, Gordon Clark, currently sales director for offshore cranes at Liebherr-MCCtec Rostock, will manage the development of the maritime sales division in Australia, New Zealand and Oceania at Liebherr-Australia.
For the service activities, Liebherr has appointed Kalman Kis, who currently serves as a mobile harbour crane engineer at Morrow Australia, which has represented Liebherr's mobile harbour crane business in Australia for the last 27 years.
