September 29 - Following its acquisition by the Rhenus Group and subsequent corporate transition, KOG Worldwide founders Rolf Gubler and Jürgen Osmers will be replaced by Carsten Schröter and Tobias König, both of whom join KOG from Rhenus Project Logisti
The Swiss-headquartered company was acquired by the Rhenus Group in February 2015.
"Rolf and Jürgen will both be available when needed for specific projects, but are officially stepping out of the daily business," said Colin D'Abreo, who has taken over from Osmers as president of KOG Transport in the USA.
D'Abreo explained that although Schröter and König will be taking over as managing directors of KOG Transport's holding company KOG Worldwide, the managers of KOG's global offices will remain the same.
Germany will see some expansion as KOG Transport GmbH has been merged with Rhenus Project Logistics and its existing staff. In future it will operate under the name of KOG Transport GmbH & Co. KG.
"Apart from some internal changes, there will be no changes for the client. Really nothing has changed - Rhenus wants to keep everything as it is, since KOG was such a successful company in its field," said D'Abreo, confirming that the company will maintain the KOG name and brand.
Managers from KOG's global offices gather in Switzerland in 2014 for the company's annual worldwide meeting.
