February 25 - In Australia, Kings Consolidated Group has announced the acquisition of New South Wales-based haulage business, Walker's Haulage.
Walker's has annualised revenues of around AUD25 million (USD225.8 million) and the business specialises in the transportation of heavy freight, with a fleet consisting of over 80 company-owned prime movers and trucks, complimented by over 120 pieces of trailing equipment, taking the total company owned vehicle assets to over 200.
The majority of the Walker's fleet consists of prime movers, crane trucks, 8-12 tonne rigid vehicles, semi-trailers, extendable trailers, drop deck trailers and 'A'-frame trailers.
Located in Wetherill Park, Walker's Haulage provides services to a range of industries including building, construction, steel, beverage and infrastructure.
This acquisition is Kings Transport's fifth in the last five years and Kings says the company will continue to aggressively seek further strategic opportunities across the general transport, contract logistics and haulage sectors.
