January 8 - Röhlig Logistics has appointed Richard Jones as senior logistics advisor, to assist the German company in the development of its global multimodal services and project logistics activities.
With almost 30 years' experience in the industry, Jones most recently served as vice president, global sales for DHL Industrial Projects, based in Singapore.
Prior to that he worked for global forwarder FH Bertling between 1993 and 2005, initially in Norway before moving to Asia Pacific to become regional manager there.
In his new advisory role, he will support the development of Röhlig's various business units, in particular its project logistics operation, and its growth initiatives in new markets.
He will report to Hylton Gray, board member for air freight and special logistics.
He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers and holds an MBA in Shipping and Logistics from the Copenhagen Business School.
