July 14 - Even though some jurisdictions have yet to approve the merger, Japan's three large container lines have set out details of their new Ocean Network Express (ONE) organisation.
"K" Line, MOL and NYK still hope their joint operations as ONE can start on April 1, 2018.
The holding company Ocean Network Express Holdings Ltd is based in Japan and is led by Masahiro Tanabe, and the global headquarters is Singapore, under Ocean Network Express Pte Ltd, which is led by Jeremy Nixon, who was previously ceo, global liner management, NYK Group South Asia.
Regional headquarter companies are in Hong Kong; Singapore; London; Richmond, USA and Sao Paulo, Brazil.
ONE would become the sixth-ranked global carrier, with an intake of 1.44 million teu.
The three lines are members of THE Alliance.
