February 4 - Intermax Logistics Solutions has transported over-dimensional mill stands from Deyang, Sichuan Province, China, to Jiangsu on the east coast of the country.
Intermax, a member of the Cargo Equipment Experts (CEE) network in China, was appointed by Erzhong Group to transport two mill stands measuring 12 m x 4.97 m x 1.9 m, each unit weighing over 200 tonnes.
The southwest China office of Intermax arranged the 2,100 km road and river transportation of the special project. The shipment was loaded onto heavy-duty flat bed trailers at Erzhong Group's Deyang factory and trucked to Leshan port.
The mill stands were loaded directly from the trailers on to a waiting vessel. The loading process, including fixing and lashing, took three hours to complete.
The cargo arrived at Erzhong Group Port, Zhenjiang, Jiangsu, safely and on-time.
