Huisman will deliver a 4,000-tonne capacity offshore mast crane for Royal Boskalis Westminster’s latest crane vessel Bokalift 2.
The crane will be capable of lifting jackets for wind turbines off the deck of the vessel, said Huisman. A fly jib allows the crane to lift smaller components up to a height of 125 m above deck.
It will also be capable of upending large monopiles from a horizontal to vertical position.
As HLPFI reported here, the first project for Bokalift 2 will be the transport and installation of components for the Changfang and Xidao (CFXD) offshore wind farm, located approximately 15 km off the coast of Changhua County, Taiwan.
