January 18 - Wilhelmsen Ships Service has appointed Vidar Hole as business director responsible for its maritime logistics services portfolio.
Hole will drive the design, development and launch of new offers in line with the company's strategy and identified market and customer needs, across its range of logistics services, including developing new services with particular focus on more complex logistics projects. In addition, he will be responsible for managing existing offers to ensure they are in line with market demand and regulatory developments. The five-year Wilh Wilhelmsen veteran has most recently been working as vice president logistics in its shipping and logistics division.
Meanwhile, Wilhelmsen Ships Service has opened a distribution site in Tunisia at Sousse, south of Tunis and conveniently located between Tunisia's main ports. The new facility will service a growing market in the region, including ships calling on Tunisian ports and a number of offshore customers, with Wilhelmsen Ships Service's range of agency services.
By establishing the new Sousse office, Wilhelmsen Ships Service can now offer coverage in North and West Africa countries including Morocco, Senegal, Ivory Coast and Nigeria, says the company.
