April 23 - Greencarrier AB, which until now has operated as two separate operations in Norway, has decided to merge its freight forwarding and logistics activities into one entity.
The new combined organisation, which will legally operate under the name Greencarrier Shipping & Logistics AS, will form part of the Greencarrier Freight Services division.
The merged operation will be headed up by Kåre Thuesen, who commented on the merger: "The merger paves the way for a more unified approach and the larger geographical footprint enables us to offer our customers a wide product range with a local presence."
Peter Nevhagen, ceo of Greencarrier Freight Services, said that the merger will make it easier for customers to do business with the Greencarrier Group.
Øyvind Lygre, the former ceo of Greencarrier Shipping & Logistics, will take responsibility for port logistics and related activities, and will have a crucial role in developing the company's geographic expansion in Norway.
Greencarrier Shipping & Logistics AS has offices and facilities in Bergen, Drammen, Kristiansand, Larvik, Moss, Oslo and Stavanger.
