February 14 - Nailesh Gandhi, director of Mumbai-based Express Transport Pvt. Ltd., is pictured receiving the WCO Certificate of Merit, conferred by Pranab Mukherjee, India's Finance Minister, on February 2.
Express said the award was presented during a function held in Delhi to celebrate 50 years of the Indian Customs Act, 1962 and was given in recognition of Gandhi's role in the successful migration of the Indian Customs EDI System from the ICES 1 version software to ICES 1.5.
Gandhi, the president of the Bombay Custom House Agents' Association, was also credited with writing a paper on self assessment Customs issues, the company added.
The Express group offers international project logistics services and operates equipment rental and engineering divisions.
