January 4 - Geodis Wilson - the freight forwarding and heavy lift specialist arm of Geodis - has appointed Eric Martin-Neuville as its new chief operating officer and freight board member with immediate effect.
Martin-Neuville has taken over responsibility from Fernando Gea who has retired from the role.
Martin-Neuville joined the Geodis Group in 1985 and held the position of managing director, Geodis Wilson France, for many years. He has also spent a considerable amount of time working for Geodis in the Asia-Pacific region.
Prior to taking up the post of deputy coo in July 2011, Martin-Neuville worked as a consultant on Geodis Wilson's new transport management system, NextGen.
"Combining the NextGen implementation with a continuous enhancement of our logistics services will enable us to meet our global growth objectives," commented Martin-Neuville.
