February 10 - GAC UK is sharpening its focus on the oil and gas sector with the appointment of two managers to serve clients with offshore operations.
Adrian Henry has been appointed offshore manager for the UK, in addition to his current responsibilities as branch manager of GAC Shetland. Based in Shetland, Henry will act as a link between customers from the oil and gas sector and GAC's branch offices around the UK.
Michael Henderson has also been promoted from agency manager to branch manager of GAC Aberdeen, and is charged with the task of taking the company's portfolio of shipping, logistics and marine support services in the region to the next level.
GAC says that this latest development reflects its long-term commitment to the offshore energy industry. The company added that the recent fall in oil prices have not affected all operations in the North Sea and elsewhere in UK waters due to many projects already being in the mature stages, with extraction still going on.
