August 31 - Freja Transport & Logistics posted year-on-year growth of 1 percent in turnover at EUR166 million (USD184 million) for the first half of 2016, with a 20 percent increase in EBIT to EUR4.2 million (USD4.6 million).
Freja said that its positive result is the result of impressive growth in consignments alongside gradual development in all of its subsidiaries, despite massive investments in its global forwarding and pharmaceutical and healthcare logistics business units.
In March, Freja opened a new office in Shanghai, China, which offers expertise in project forwarding, as well as other general cargo services.
Overall, the Freja Group expects a minor decrease in the growth rate in the second half of the year, with an anticipated annual turnover of EUR325 million (USD361 million).
