Japan-headquartered heavy lifting and transportation specialist Denzai has opened Denzai Arabia as it looks to expand its reach in the Middle East.
Formed in October 2023, Denzai Arabia will look to provide integrated construction and transportation services in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East, including for port transport and installations at project sites.
Earlier this year, HLPFI reported that Denzai and Fawaz Ali Alshammari Logistics (FTE) had established a joint venture (JV) – with the latter boasting more than 25 years of heavy lift experience in the region.
“Saudi Arabia is aiming to break free from its oil-dependent economy by fostering the creation of new industries, with large-scale infrastructure development currently underway. Among these efforts, the development of wind power generation, a form of renewable energy, is considered one of the most important projects,” said Kohki Uemura, president of ceo of Denzai.
“Denzai Group plans to leverage the expertise it has developed in wind power plant construction to contribute to Saudi Arabia’s promotion of decarbonisation and carbon neutrality,” added Uemura. The company will be based in Al Jubail, in eastern Saudi Arabia.
