Following the merger with DSV, Panalpina has restructured its executive board.
The company said that it has decided to downsize its executive board by eliminating the positions of chief commercial officer; chief legal officer; chief information officer; executive vice president, airfreight; and executive vice president, ocean freight.
As a result, Ralf Morawietz (previously chief information officer) and Peder Winther (executive vice president, ocean freight) have left the company.
Meanwhile, chief legal officer Christoph Hess will assume a position in the legal team at the merged organisation, DSV Panalpina.
Lucas Kuehner, who served as the executive vice president, airfreight at Panalpina, has been appointed as the executive vice president of the charter network and perishables at DSV Air & Sea.
Karl Weyeneth, formerly chief commercial officer, is expected to continue in a senior position at DSV Panalpina.
