Melbourne-headquartered logistics services company Toll Group has appointed Kate Carlile as chief legal officer, effective immediately.
Carlile joined Toll Group in early 2018 as lead counsel, corporate. She has been acting chief legal officer for the past nine months.
Prior to joining Toll Group, Carlile held senior roles with international law firm Herbert Smith Freehills, where she spent 17 years in Melbourne and London.
At the end of February, HLPFI reported that Toll Group unveiled its latest general cargo vessel, Victorian Reliance II, at a naming ceremony at Webb Dock in Port Melbourne.
The vessel is identical to the Tasmanian Achiever II, which Toll Group unveiled at a naming ceremony at McGaw Wharf in Burnie earlier in February.
Both ships will transport goods between Melbourne and Burnie. They will replace Victorian Reliance I and Tasmanian Achiever I in Toll Group’s fleet, when the 20-year old ships are retired from service.
