January 30 - Cargolux Airlines International has approved Richard Forson's appointment as chief financial officer, effective February 1, 2012.
Forson, who succeeds former CFO David Arendt, is also a senior vice president of the company and a member of the Executive Committee of Cargolux.
Forson brings over 20 years of valuable experience in financial, general business and operational management to his role as Cargolux CFO with specific emphasis on the aviation industry.
He joins from Wamar International, Inc., a global provider of premium services and products in the fields of power generation, oil & gas, aviation, real life support and defense and security, where he held the position of senior vice president and chief operating officer. Prior to that Forson was the general manager finance and administration at Qatar Airways from 2003 to 2006 and before that he spent 13 years at South African Airways, where he held various senior management positions before assuming the role of CFO.
