Buss Group has acquired SSC Wind – a technical services provider to the wind energy sector.
Following the acquisition, the company will operate as Buss Wind Services.
To date, Buss Group has focused on port logistics for offshore wind farms in the North and Baltic seas through its facilities in Eemshaven (Netherlands), Sassnitz and Stade (Germany), as well as at third-party terminals.
In March 2019, Buss expanded its offering when it acquired the onshore wind energy maintenance and repair services from SSC.
The complete integration of SSC Wind, according to Buss, adds installation and long-term services for wind turbines to its project business in both the onshore and offshore segment.
Buss Wind Services management includes Martin Schulz, Moritz Christern and Carsten Tegeler.
