Blue Water Shipping has opened a project logistics hub in Bremen, Germany.
An expansion of the energy, ports and projects division of Blue Water Shipping, the Bremen-based team specialises in global project logistics, with expertise in the regional transport and logistics sector. Led by Cord Behr, the newly appointed general manager of Blue Water Bremen, the energy, ports and projects division will work closely with the company’s network of 80 offices worldwide to provide comprehensive logistics solutions to strengthen the company’s foothold in the region. Anders Maul, director EMEA and CIS – energy, ports and projects, anticipates the expansion of services across Europe. “We want to expand our presence in Europe, not only to increase our regional visibility, but also to support our global expansion efforts. Our aim is to have a robust project structure in Germany, where many suppliers operate,” he said.
The company has been on an expansion drive of late and this week confirmed the launch of Blue Water South Korea, following the acquisition of Zodiac Solutions. Prior to that, it opened offices in Walvis Bay, Namibia, and Cape Town, South Africa, as well as establishing a facility in the Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA) in the UAE, a strategic hub in Santiago, Chile, a warehouse close to George Bush Intercontinental Airport, Houston, USA, along with a logistics warehouse for project and oversized cargo in Singapore.
