BLG and Hyundai Glovis have formed a joint venture at the AutoTerminal in Bremerhaven, Germany.
The BLG Glovis BHV venture will develop the terminal into a European hub for automobile transport between Asia and Europe, with an eye for future expansion. Taewoo Kim, vice president/head of ocean division at Hyundai Glovis, explained: “Now we aim to further develop our joint business. That’s why our next step is looking at options for high and heavy cargo handling.”
The joint venture will operate from two dedicated berths and pre-parking area for vehicles. It is headed by two managing directors: Hans Brähler from BLG in Bremerhaven and Donghwan Suh at Hyundai Glovis in South Korea.
