Tobias Bartz will take over as ceo and chairman of the management board at the Rhenus Group on April 1, 2022.
He will succeed Klemens Rethmann, who served in the role since 2008.
Bartz began his career as a management trainee at Rhenus in 2005. During his time, he was responsible for the Rhenus road freight business in France and Spain. He was appointed a member of the Rhenus management board in 2015 and led the growth of the air and ocean division from Singapore before returning to Germany in 2018.
