March 30 - The Breakbulk China exhibition, which was held from March 17-20 at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Centre, hosted 6 percent more attendees this year compared with 2014.
Among the attendees, 26 percent were international visitors from 70 different countries, including South Korea, Singapore, Germany, Japan and the USA.
Cargo owners represented included logistics procurement executives from ABB China, Air Liquide, Air Products, Alstom, Aramco, ArcelorMittal, Bechtel, BP China, Caterpillar, Desmet Ballestra, General Electric, Halliburton, Hangzhou CIEC Intl, Hyosung Transworld, Hyundai, Mrimatsu and PetroChina Gas & Pipe.
As well as educational programmes, the event provided two days of exhibition, which also included executive presentations on China's economic outlook, navigating local and international laws in China, booking note strategies, the multipurpose shipping outlook, and China's oil and gas pipeline network.
The event also featured a welcome reception, VIP leadership summit, a port tour of Shanghai International Port Group's Luojing Terminal, and the Breakbulk BUSINESSrun, which HLPFI's Peter Edwards started.
The fifth annual Breakbulk China exhibition will be held from March 14-17, 2016 at the same location in Shanghai.
