March 10 - The Port of Antwerp is taking its roadshow to China once more visiting Shenzhen, Shanghai and Ningbo with the emphasis on promoting its services for the steel and breakbulk sectors.
The port will subsequently also take part in the Breakbulk China event in Shanghai.
The roadshow starts in Shenzhen with a seminar on investment and optimising the supply chain.
The Antwerp port community is organising this event in collaboration with the Shenzhen Hi-tech Industry Association, which represents leading Chinese technology companies. On the Flemish side experts from Flanders Investment & Trade and Antwerp Port Authority will present the logistical advantages of the Port of Antwerp and the investment opportunities that it offers.
The second stop by the roadshow is in Shanghai with a dinner for Chinese steel companies. More than 1 million tonnes of steel is traded annually between Antwerp and China and the port is a leading steel port in Europe.
In Ningbo, finally, the port authority is planning an exclusive 3PL network event at which service providers from the Antwerp port community will be able to exchange experiences with their Chinese counterparts.
