November 13 - Ahlers Forwarding has handled the shipment of 596 bundles of steel pipes from Shanghai to Onne Port, Nigeria onboard Safmarine Lualaba.
The total shipment amounted to 1,000 CBM and was handled on behalf of a trading company in oil and gas equipment.
The cargo originated partly from Tianjin and partly from Hunan.
Originally, Ahlers Tianjin was appointed to ship the cargo by barge from Tianjin to the terminal in Shanghai, but due to the tight schedule of the breakbulk mother vessel, an alternative solution was also required and some 200 CBM of pipes were trucked overland from Tianjin to Shanghai.
Ahlers Shanghai took reception of cargoes arriving by rail from Hunan and coordinated the smooth operation on the terminal for the loading on the vessel. Ahlers Chartering Desk in Singapore fixed the vessel with Safmarine China.
