Belgium-based crane companies Aertssen Kranen and Michielsens are forming a joint venture that will provide lifting solutions to Total Antwerp during turnarounds and maintenance works.
Over the next five years, the joint venture – AMI – will carry out all lifting and rigging works at Total Refinery Antwerp, Total Olefins Antwerp and Total Polymers Antwerp.
“With this collaboration there is one single point of contact for the Total platform,” said Tom Deckers, business unit manager at Aertssen Kranen.
For the five-year contract, AMI will call upon its fleet of mobile and crawler cranes, as well as SPMTs.
