August 5 - International project freight forwarder, Advance International Transport has successfully co-ordinated the shipment of oil industry project cargo from two countries for Mitsubishi Corporation destined for a vital Brazilian oil industry project.
The multi-port transit involved a freight consignment leaving Busan, Korea onboard Scanscot Shipping's multipurpose ro-ro carrier Scan Brasil; before she collected the second part of the consignment from Kobe, Japan. The consolidated shipments were then carried to Santos, Brazil.
The consignments, amounting to over 1,200 cu m, included a compressor and lube oil motor, spare rotor and cooler equipment in over 100 packages and one container. The total weight of the shipment came to some over 2,200 tonnes.
Advance International President & CEO, Jawad Kamel says: "This was a straightforward collection of vital goods for Brazilian petroleum and petrochemical refineries but no less complex and well-planned for all that. The need to collect some of the equipment in Korea and then Japan created no headaches for our planners and went off as smoothly as we anticipated."
Kamel is certain that Advance International Transport has a important role to play in that Brazil's economic and business development.
He adds: "Our project freight forwarding services support companies that are active in the oil and gas industry worldwide. This is just as important to Brazil as any of the oil and gas producing countries we serve. By delivering a first rate service we help manufacturers such as Mitsubishi provide the technology and know-how the sector needs.
