February 17 - A. Soulis Enterprises based in Larnaca is keen to grab a share of the growing wind farm installation business in Cyprus and has invested in a Liebherr LTM 11200-9.1, the world's most powerful telescopic crane.
A. Soulis Enterprises managing director, Andreas Soulis, says: "The LTM 11200-9.1 is precisely the right crane for installations with towers of 80 to 100 metres in height. It is particularly economical for these kinds of operations, and that means we can be particularly competitive too.
Equipped with a 100-m telescopic boom, Y-guying system, and fixed jib, the LTM 11200-9.1 can lift up to 94 tonnes to a hook height of 89 m, and up to 76 tonnes to a height of 107 m. If the crane is used with a luffing boom, lifting capacity can be higher still.
Soulis says that it is not intending to use the LTM 11200-9.1 in the wind power sector in Greece only, but also on the international market for heavy lift operations.
A. Soulis Enterprises Ltd. is one of the biggest crane companies in Greece, and operates 20 mobile cranes with lifting capacities from 20 tonnes to 300 tonnes, 16 of which are Liebherr machines. As well as mobile cranes, the company also operates a large fleet of transport vehicles.
