The British International Freight Association (BIFA) – the trade association that represents UK freight forwarding and logistics businesses – has appointed Graeme Wilkinson as its training development manager.
Wilkinson joined BIFA’s training team in 2017 and has played a major role in the redesign of all of BIFA’s training materials since it took its portfolio of training and education activities in-house, replacing an external contractor.
He has over 25 years of freight forwarding experience, including spells at Pantos Logistics, C.H. Robinson, MIQ Logistics and Emery Worldwide, and now heads BIFA’s five-strong training team.
BIFA director general, Steve Parker, said: “Graeme’s promotion is part of a strategy to further develop the portfolio of training activities that BIFA now offers, and he will lead the push to further enhance the quality of education and skills development that we offer as we seek to help members cultivate the next generation of freight forwarders.”
