USA-based Twin Brothers Marine (TBM) will be participating in a major infrastructure development project to support multiple renewable energy initiatives.
The project – which is based along the north-east coast of the USA – will include the fabrication and delivery of 3,000 tons (2,721.6 tonnes) of structural components, which will be used to create a support facility designed to assist multiple wind energy projects.
This facility will act as a staging area and drop-off point for boats, offering maintenance for the structures and supporting various renewable energy efforts.
The infrastructure endeavour serves as TBM’s first major venture into the wind energy sector as well as its largest participation in the renewable energy industry to date, but the company is using its comprehensive experience in oil and gas to its benefit.
Fabrication includes rolled tubular structures used for piling, pressure vessels and tunnel liners.
