Geodis has made an online emissions calculator that determines the carbon footprint of a freight shipment.
Developed in partnership with EcoTransIT World, the calculator measures air pollutants and greenhouse gas emissions generated by an individual shipment’s journey.
For each shipment of goods, the calculator gives an overview of the various options, allowing for comparison of different modes of transport. Geodis said this makes it an invaluable aid in choosing the most environmentally friendly mode of transport.
